UHMW Plastics
S&S Urethane & Ceramics carries and installs Tivar, and a variety of other
types of UHMW Plastics. Tivar is an engineered Ultra High Molecular Weight Polymer
lining that can improve the flow of materials with its low coefficient of friction.
Tivar has superior abrasion, corrosion and shock resistance compared to steel and
other liners. Generally, UHMW plastics are 1/8 the weight of steel.
Typical applications
Fine coal hopper lining, chute lining, wear strips, diverter gate lining, silo
liners, etc…
